Attention and learning are two fundamental processes in vision which are strongly linked but often studied in isolation. Both have been related to changes in firing rates and synchronization patterns in both higher and lower visual cortical areas. Using simultaneous large scale laminar recordings in multiple areas of the ventral stream, we will study the interplay of attention and learning with a focus on inter- and intraareal interactions.
