ESI Director named „Highly Cited Researcher“

Prof. Dr. Pascal Fries, director of the Ernst Strüngmann Institute (ESI), has been named a “2016 Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher”. This means he is among the top 1 % most cited neuroscientists in the world, one of around 3100 scientists across all fields of science and one of eight neuroscientists working in Germany to be honored in this way.

Clarivate Analytics awards the title “highly cited researchers” to those scientists who have published the top 1% most cited papers over eleven years (January 2004- December 2014) using “Web of Science” as the basis for their data collection. They then analyze the data by broad subject area and work out who the top cited scientists in their fields are.

The ESI is very pleased that Prof.Dr. Pascal Fries’s work has been recognized in this way.
